ABOUT

BRANDON

Brandon is a newly registered counsellor who graduated from Monash University, Master of Professional Counselling. His previous clinical experience includes providing counselling services at an established private center and running workshops for unprivileged children. He has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and ethnicity, ranging from adolescents to working adults.

He mainly practices an integrated approach involving Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy(CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy(PCT). Additionally, Brandon adopts techniques and skills from other approaches while widening his expertise in Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor and better provide effective support to each client's unique needs.

Brandon believes that self-compassion and self-acceptance play an important role in facilitating positive change within individuals. He aims to work together with clients to identify their strengths and weaknesses and learn to be kind to themselves. As the well-known psychologist, Carl Rogers once said, "We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are until we thoroughly accept what we are". By fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion, Brandon believes we can achieve meaningful changes in our lives and is committed to walking down with the client in the journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

By understanding and valuing the unique experiences and beliefs of the client, Brandon strives to build strong therapeutic relationships with his clients and strives to build a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings.
