Happy New Year
Let's welcome 2020
Ringing in the New Year is cause for celebration, for spending time with friends and family, and for looking back.
A lot can happen in a year and between the good, the bad, and the ugly, this may seem like an understatement for most.
A time of new beginnings and fresh starts also comes with a time of reflection. Whether your resolutions consist of keeping your hands out of the cookie jar or giving your heartfelt word to work on relationships with loved ones, it can take work. And it can make all the difference to put these hopes into words and warm wishes.
Seeing is believing.

Don't rush to a new resolution before you finish off the unfinished business.
Take a moment to reflect, appraise, endure, accept, forgive, and to let go.
Only then we can continue our journey
without carrying the past to our future.
Changes is possible, and we can help you!
Message from the Director
2019 was a fruitful year for all of us at ARKCC. It's our second year in operations since our establishment in Apr 2018.
We have grown from 1 to 7 counsellors in 2019, the diversity of our team enable us to reach out and serve the different community in needs; We have obtained the accreditation from LKM as the Approved CPD Training Provider, to assist the Continuous Professional Development for the Licensed and Registered Counsellors in Malaysia; We have upgraded from blogspot to a brand new corporate website ; and we have held several free talks and workshop throughout the year. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to John Pinto, our associate counsellor whom had initiated and led all these programs. One of the signature highlight in 2019 was the completion of our very first batch of the 4 months practical counselling workshop, named [Becoming Competent and Skilled People-Helpers: A Practical Workshop on Counselling Theories and Helping Skills]. It was an amazing experience and we hope those who have joined us have benefited well from it. It was always in our mind to promote and create greater awareness on mental health, as well as to equip the general public with more knowledge and skill set to take part in mental health care. Do sign up for our 2nd batch intake next year if you're interested to learn more about counselling theories and the helping skills. Meanwhile, in the pipeline of our planning for 2020 includes some professional workshop covering the issues on sexuality, gender-based/domestic violence, self-care and etc. More information will be shared on our website and official social media account once confirmed.
